Welcome to UNL Shotokan Karate Website.
UNL Shotokan is an official dojo of Shotokan Karate of America (SKA). Our classes are led by yodan (4th degree black belt) David Altman, and are held on the University of Nebraska - Lincoln City Campus.
David Altman began practicing under Jon Beltram in 1976. He was awarded yodan by Tsutomu Ohshima in 2001 during the first yodan grading held at the Shotokan Ohshima dojo in Santa Barbara, CA. David is a life member of SKA, has represented the Midwest in trounament competition several times at the Nisei Week National Karate Championship in L.A., and has completed more than 65 special trainings. He often leads annual special winter trainings in locations around the Midwest.
